Many ex-corps members have already confirmed receiving their payments, sparking reactions across social media platforms. If you completed your service before the new allowance took effect, you may be eligible for this arrears payment.

Who Qualifies for the N44,000 NYSC Arrears?

The FG’s arrears payment is specifically for former corps members who:
✔ Completed their service before the new N77,000 allowance was implemented.
✔ Were previously earning the old rate of N33,000 per month.
✔ Are yet to receive the balance from the wage adjustment.

This payment covers the difference (N44,000) between the old and new rates, ensuring fairness for those who served under the previous allowance structure.

How Ex-NYSC Members Are Reacting

Several beneficiaries have taken to X (formerly Twitter) to confirm receipt of the payment, expressing their excitement:

  • @Kingpin_black1: “Thank you NYSC. Thank you President Tinubu. Nigeria will be great again.”
  • @pharmacist_shezzy: “44k don land. NYSC no carry last. God bless Nigeria.”
  • @ifeoluwa_X: “Just got my alert. I almost deleted my NYSC account. Thank you FG.”
