Eligibility Criteria for NWDC Scholarship 2025
To qualify for the NWDC Foreign Scholarship 2025/2026, you must:
1. Be from a North-West State
Applicants must be indigenes of one of the following states:
- Jigawa
- Kaduna
- Kano
- Katsina
- Kebbi
- Sokoto
- Zamfara
Proof of Indigeneity: You must provide an LGA certificate and a state indigene certificate.
2. Meet the Age Limit
- Undergraduate applicants: Must be 22 years or younger
- Master’s applicants: Must be 35 years or younger
- PhD applicants: Must be 40 years or younger
Academic Requirements for NWDC Scholarship
The scholarship is open to undergraduate, Master’s, and PhD students with the following qualifications:
1. Undergraduate Applicants
- Five O’Level credits, including three distinctions in science subjects (maximum of two sittings).
2. Master’s Applicants
- Minimum CGPA of 3.8 in your Bachelor’s degree.
3. PhD Applicants
- Minimum CGPA of 4.0/5.0 in your Master’s degree.
Approved Courses for NWDC Scholarship
The scholarship supports studies in the following fields:
- Engineering
- Medical Sciences
- Agriculture
- ICT
- Education
Note: Applications for courses outside these fields will not be considered.

- Secondary School Certificate (WAEC/NECO)
- Bachelor’s Degree Certificate (if applicable)
