UCH Ibadan Community Health Officers Programme: Entry Requirements
To apply, you must meet both academic and professional qualifications.
1. Educational Qualifications (All Applicants)
You must have at least five (5) credits in one or two sittings from WAEC, NECO, or GCE O-Levels in the following subjects:
- English Language
- Mathematics
- Biology
- Chemistry
- Physics
2. Professional Qualifications
The programme has two pathways based on your experience:
A. Two-Year Programme Requirements
- Diploma in Community Health with 2+ years of post-qualification experience
- CHEW Certificate (Community Health Extension Worker) with 5+ years of experience
- Must be registered with CHPRBN and have a valid practicing licence
B. One-Year Programme Requirements
- Must be a qualified Community Health Extension Worker (CHEW)
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Community Health Science, Health Education, or Public Health
- HND in Community Health is also accepted
- Must have a valid practicing licence
How to Apply for UCH Ibadan Community Health Officers Programme
Follow these steps to complete your online application:
- Visit the UCH Schools Portal
- Click on “REMITA PAYMENT” and pay ₦20,000 for the application form
- Sign up using your RRR number, email, and password (used during payment)
- Log in to complete your application
- Download the Applicants’ User Guide for instructions
- Fill out the form and submit
- Print two (2) copies of your application and photocard
- Bring both copies to the exam center
Exam Details & Next Steps
- The entrance exam date will be sent to your email and announced on UCH Ibadan’s official channels
