The College of Petroleum and Energy Studies (CPES), Kaduna

Eligibility Criteria for PTDF Scholarship 2025

For MSc Applicants:

Minimum Second Class Upper (2:1) degree OR Second Class Lower (2:2) with oil & gas industry experience
Completion of NYSC (National Youth Service Corps)
Five O’Level credits (including English & Mathematics)
Basic computer literacy
Statement of Purpose (500 words max)
Valid National Identity Number (NIN)

For PhD Applicants:

Second Class Lower (2:2) first degree + a strong postgraduate degree
Completion of NYSC
Five O’Level credits (including English & Mathematics)
Research proposal (5 pages max) covering topic, objectives, methodology, and data collection
Valid National Identity Number (NIN)

Key Rules & Restrictions

❌ No double scholarships – Applicants with existing scholarships are ineligible.
❌ No multiple applications – Applying more than once leads to disqualification.
❌ Only PTDF-approved courses related to oil & gas are eligible.
❌ Previous PTDF scholars cannot reapply for the same degree level.
