What is JAMB Transfer Approval?
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) conducts the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and Direct Entry (DE) for admission into Nigerian tertiary institutions. Through the Central Admission Processing System (CAPS), JAMB allows candidates to monitor and manage their admission status.
In some cases, JAMB may transfer a candidate from their initially chosen course or institution to another due to:
- Unavailability of space in the preferred course/institution
- Not meeting cut-off marks or specific requirements
- Course accreditation issues
- Better alignment with O’Level subject combinations
- Institutional preferences and admission policies
This process is called JAMB Transfer Approval, and it ensures candidates secure admission into suitable programs based on their qualifications and institutional availability.
